Beautiful Eraser / 2024

The morning after returning from a women's retreat and experiencing the presence of the Lord so strongly throughout, my heart was overflowing. The gathering was intimate, twenty four spirit filled women seeking more, to come up higher in our relationships with the Lord.

The worship was so beautifully anointed. I witnessed deliverances each evening as the Holy Spirit moved in POWER...TOTALLY AMAZING as the New Testament opened up right before our eyes. I'll never be the same.

As I sat in my favorite chair and closed my eyes to be still, to set my heart, mind and eyes upon Jesus, I began to pray and journal.

I saw Jesus walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee and He reached out to me. I took His hand and we walked quietly at the waters edge. I looked up ahead for a place for us to sit and saw a grey swing glistening in the sunshine with water splashing all around it. Smiling we ran up ahead and sat down next to each other, and at that point a vision opened and Jesus was still next to me but also up higher in front of me, slightly to the left, His hair and white robe gently blowing in the breeze. He then spoke and asked me, "What do you see?"

I responded, "Jesus I see You up high, Your beautiful face and kind eyes. Your hair and Your robe are flowing in the gentle breeze. I see blue skies, water and sunshine and you look to be a part of it, one with it. He was then fully back in the swing with me and we looked up in unison. To my surprise there was a childlike skeleton that I remembered seeing in a bad dream as a young child no more than four year of age. I had never totally forgotten the details of the dream. I remembered being in our bedroom in my twin bed and my sister in her's next to me. My brother was in the same room in his baby bed. The dream had not come to mind in a long time. Jesus looked at me, picked up a pink eraser, like the one many of us would remember from our school days. His eraser was huge and He totally erased the skeleton! He then looked at me, put His hand on top of mine and I came out of the vision. I was so overwhelmed by His presence, His love and what He had just done... I wanted to go back immediately.

Jesus erased a skeleton I saw in a bad dream... many years ago, from my early childhood. He knew where the stronghold of fear had entered my life and erased it.

When we repent of sins and confess Jesus as Lord of our lives, we already walk in the victory (over the enemy/death) He won for us at the cross. We are forgiven of our sins and a sanctification process begins that takes time. As we get into His word and stay there, He washes us with His word as we read, study and do what it instructs, our minds become transformed to truth. The word of God is a supernatural book, read it and ask Him to make it revelation in your heart and mind. He will. He consecrates us, making us fit for His holy kingdom purposes. This brings about a change of heart within us, a desire to love God and people and can only be accomplished with the help of the Holy Spirit. During this process, the Holy Spirit will bring things to our attention (behaviors, habits, addictions, negative thought patterns, the words we speak, trauma from past experiences, pain, etc.) that are not in alignment with the truth of His word that need to be addressed. He wants to reveal things to us that harm us and hinder our walk with Him. He wants us to be totally free in Him. As we cooperate with Holy Spirit in this process, we become more and more free in Him and began to experience what true freedom really is. He delivers us, gives us clarity of mind and heals our souls. He alone knows what we need because only He knows everything about us from the moment we were conceived in the womb. The lies of the enemy also began in the womb. When we become children of God, the enemy knows the call on our lives and immediately begins whispering lies in hopes they will take root in lives.

I remember being afraid, especially at night throughout much of my childhood and didn't realize it wasn't normal. The enemy took full advantage of that. As a teenager and young adult I experienced family trials that would naturally cause worry, anxiety and fear but also made choices that put me in harms way. I know God protected me then and has many, many times throughout my adult life.

If you have experienced ANY kind of traumatic event, rejection, betrayal... especially by someone close to you, irrational fear, worry, anxiety, are in pain, struggling with any kind of addiction/bondage and have a hard time trusting others, any of these things can make it hard to trust God. When we don't trust God, we will have a hard time hearing Him speak to us...and He's always speaking...always. Start paying close attention to your thoughts and take note of all that are negative. Open your Bible and see what God has to say about your thoughts and replace the lies with the truth of God's word. He loves you more than you could ever imagine and wants to EXPOSE the lies of the enemy and ERASE them from your life, ERASE your past and set you totally FREE. He is saying to you right now, "Behold, I am doing a NEW thing; NOW it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I WILL make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert". (Isaiah 43:19) This is just one of His many promises to His children. God is not a man that He should lie. He is truth, perfectly faithful and totally trustworthy. He knows your going out and your coming in, nothing is hidden from Him. There is NOTHING you have done, NOTHING you have experienced that He cannot forgive, heal and deliver you from. He is reaching out to you...just take His hand. I'm praying for you. Selah.

Scripture References:

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

I DID NOT give you a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)

You have searched me, LORD, and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.

3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.

4 Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.

5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain it.

(Psalm 139: 1-6)

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations. (Isaiah 61:1-4)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
