"It Is Written."

The Lord gave me a word in late May, “Refining”, which helped me understand what I'd been experiencing for the past few months. The Lord is refining His Church, His Bride, and exposing areas in our lives that need work. Our part is to surrender to Him and let Him have His way in us. I had also been experiencing prolonged warfare and was just tired. I was not consistently coming against the enemy with God’s word, the believer's sword. The sword is activated by declaring God’s word in faith, engaging in warfare prayers, speaking and meditating on scripture and coming against enemy lies with full kingdom AUTHORITY.

In the early morning hours on June 24th, the Lord gave me a dream. I was standing in a wide, open space and was putting gasoline into a car. I looked and saw a man approaching me from a distance and I waved to him. Then the Lord zoomed in close to the man and I immediately knew he was the enemy. He was dressed in black, he was furious and was coming towards me fast with plans to kill, steal and destroy. Wide awake but calm, I began to pray. I put on the armor of God and began to boldly speak the word against the enemy:

Lord I repent for not standing fully in the  authority you died to give me. I know better, please forgive me. Give me strength, Lord.

I put on the belt of truth, You are truth Lord.

I put on the breastplate of righteousness, the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

I stand in the shoes of the gospel of peace and I take back territory, I lift the shield of faith, secure the helmet of salvation and I take up the sword of the Spirit, the living word of God in prayer and I come against the enemy right now in the authority of Jesus’ mighty name. (Ephesians 6:10-20, NKJV)

I renounce and reject your lies and come against you in the authority of Jesus’ name.

IT IS WRITTEN: I've been given all authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall by any means harm me. (Luke 10:19, NKJV)

Jesus has defeated you. He spoiled principalities and made a show of them openly, triumphing over them. (Colossians 2:15, NKJV)

IT IS WRITTEN: He took away the keys to hell and death. (Revelation 1:18, NKJV) You are a defeated foe.

IT IS WRITTEN: No weapon formed against me will prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgement will be condemned. (Isaiah 54:17, NKJV)

IT IS WRITTEN:

Whatever I bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever I loose on earth is loosed in heaven. I bind you in the authority of Jesus Christ’s name. (Matthew 18:18, NKJV)

IT IS WRITTEN: I will live and not die to declare the works of the Lord. (Psalm 118:17, NKJV)

I decree and declare (Psalm 91:1-2, NKJV) over myself, my spouse, our children, our families, friends and all whom we pray for, our pets, our homes and everything within our homes, our ministries, our relationships, our health, our finances, our jobs, our businesses, our vehicles, all travel and those traveling around us.

IT IS WRITTEN: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God and in Him I will trust. (Psalm 91:1-2)

I decree and declare the plans of the enemy to come kill, steal and destroy will fall to the ground, dead works and come to nothing in the authority of Jesus' name. There will be no retaliation as a result of these prayers in Jesus' mighty name I pray.

Thank you Lord for alerting me and for waking me up. Thank you for Your word and also for sending your mighty warring angels, and additional angels to protect us and minister to us.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

I went back to sleep and the Lord gave me another dream. I saw the same scene except the enemy had never gotten close to me. He was a pile of smoldering ashes on the ground with a big white flag of surrender blowing in the breeze.

As I prayed about the dream in the following days for further understanding, the Holy Spirit revealed that the open space I was standing in - as the dream unfolded - was exposure. I needed to WAKE UP both literally and spiritually and come against the enemy with my sword. In the wilderness when Jesus was tested by the enemy, He came against the enemy every time by declaring, "IT IS WRITTEN" and followed with the scripture to counter the lie (Matthew 4:1-11). The car I was putting gasoline into represented ministry. The gasoline I was filling the car with represented fuel; the Holy Spirit, power and ignition. When I WOKE UP from the initial dream, I immediately came against the enemy with the word, confident of the authority I had, and the enemy had to retreat. The Holy Spirit was alerting me, showing me I needed to pick up my sword which is exactly what I did. He's so very faithful. We just have to read the word daily so that we know the truth, open our mouths and speak it boldly against the lie - just as Jesus did.

Spiritual warfare is real and the enemy works hard to wear us down, in hopes that we will grow weary, get distracted and gradually stop praying...that we will just "go to sleep" spiritually speaking. When we truly understand and believe that Christ has already won the VICTORY for us, our mindset begins to shift and we begin to walk in greater strength, confidently standing in the full authority Christ has given us.
