We're In This Together

Sitting outside early in the morning, listening as the birds sing, thanking God for the day and listening for His voice is one of my favorite ways to start the day. 

This morning I noticed this pair of hibiscus blooms right away; His beautiful creation, side by side, reaching for the first hint of sunlight, beautiful in every way... and then I heard in my spirit, "We're in this together".  I had been asking Him for direction personally so thanked Him in agreement but also knew this was not just for me but for the body of Christ as well.

There's so much chaos and division in the world today but God calls his people to live in unity with one another, to make every effort to walk in peace and harmony with all people, especially in the body of Christ. He commands us to love, it's his greatest commandment.

We all face many challenges in life and stress on any level can greatly impact our relationships with others. Satan only comes to kill, steal and destroy the relationships we've worked so hard to build in all areas of our lives so we have to choose God's way daily and trust him with the outcome. He has given us his word and we know he has plans to prosper us and not harm us. He has called us to truth, peace and love; to be faithful, patient, to have self discipline, treat others with kindness and gentleness through our actions and the words we speak. We are called to lead the way as Christians; to represent Jesus, his character. He has given us His Word and His Spirit to help us and is faithful, never leaves our side.

Lord help us, we desperately need you. Help us to be faithful to you no matter what, to set aside our differences and choose unity, to choose your way. Show us our weaknesses and give us the strength to deny ourselves and stand strong together in true love and compassion. Holy Spirit guide us, counsel us and bring scripture to life in our lives as we seek transformation and unity in all of our relationships. We agree with you, we are all in this together! We give you all the glory, honor and praise and believe it is done. In Jesus' name. Amen
